Hey guys and thank you for coming through and checking out corporateandcurly. Since my debut in November 2015, I have learned more than I have ever expected, and have been able to connect with other fascinating bloggers in the process 🙂 Today’s post will be my first mini haul. If you are interested in any of the products listed, feel free to click onto the link and it will take you directly to the the product page on Walmart.com

A few days ago I went into my local Walmart in Bloomington, Mn looking for some edge control as I just ran out the previous night. (gotta keep those edges slayed!) Of course I ended up buying more than I was supposed too. The good thing is though I ended up with some goodies for myself and my daughter. I lucked up because I have been searching for another shampoo and conditioner combo for my daughters hair, and I found what I was looking for.

  1. Cantu Care FOR KIDS tear-free nourishing shampoo & nourishing conditioner

imageYou can also visit cantubeauty.com for additional tips and videos 🙂

I actually used both of these products on my daughter the same night. They both smell amazing. A mix between a fresh flower and citris aroma. The shampoo  cleaned her hair really well and I only washed twice. It helped to soften her hair even before I used the conditioner.

I LOVED the conditioner. I sectioned off her hair into 4 sections and inserted the conditioner section by section. it was very easy to detangle her hair with my fingers. After I detangled, I placed 2 shower caps on her head and let it set for 30 minutes. After I washed the conditioner out, her hair was very curly, bouncy, clean, detangled and fresh. I will definitely use both of these products on her hair again.

Also both products are free from: MINERAL OIL, SULFATES, PARABENS, SILICONES, PHTHALATES, GLUTEN, PARAFFIN OR PROPYLENE.

2. Cantu shea butter for Natural Hair Leave-In Conditioning Cream

This product states that it repairs hair breakage, and leaves hair soft & manageable. Which I also have to agree with. After giving my hair a good ole wash and condition, I let it air dry into sections. I then put in the leave-in conditioner. I instantly noticed that my hair became soft and I was able to detangle even more. It did feel like there was a coating on my strands though. I almost felt like I was supposed to wash it out. I also think I may have used a little more product than I was supposed to. So next time I am hoping to get different results.

3. Olive Oil ORS Edge Control

Well this product is pretty much self explanatory and usually a favorite. This little container goes a long way and lasts me more than a month. I apply this to my edges with a tooth brush but if you don’t have one your fingers will do just as good of a job. I use this product on my daughters hair as well. (age 10)

4.  Con Air 18 count Perm Rods

I find myself buying these often as I break the black rubber band when I pull to hard. So hopefully these will last longer for me. When I do any kind of twist out, flat twist, braid out, etc, I use these to secure my ends and to make sure my ends dry into a even more defined curl.

Thats all the products I have for today, as you can see this was definitely a “mini” haul. I am looking into getting some long individual braids done soon, so I will have a whole different haul for you guys 🙂 Have any of you used any of the Cantu products? If so, which are your favorites? Do you add edge control to any of your hair routines? Make sure to like and follow. 🙂 Thanx in advance 🙂 PEACE
